This year looks brighter yet with the relocation of Nissans North American headquarters from California into the BellSouth building in downtown and the opening of new iconic structures in the heart of the city from the SchermerhornSymphonyCenter to the Public Square in front of the historic Courthouse.
The year opened with the announcement by Expansion Management magazine that Nashville was the nations hottest city. It ended with the announcement by Vought Aircraft Industries that it will keep 800 plus manufacturing jobs in Nashville under contracts with Airbus through 2010.
